The people of Albany Road in Old Windsor said a final goodbye this evening to a man who had lived there all his life, while making himself an invaluable part of village life.
Keith Moore who died earlier this month was largely responsible for rebuilding Old Windsor Football Club in the 1950s, 60s and 70 as manager, chairman and club secretary.
The club's current secretary Gary Wade said: "He brought it into the modern world and was closely involved in the building of the clubhouse."

Mr Moore was also a leading member of Old Windsor Horticultural Society, serving as president and chairman at different times.
Treasurer Jim Snapes said his involvement continued long after he had ceased to be a serving officer.
"He always came and supported the show and would sit at the front door so he could chat to people. Everybody knew him."
Mr Moore also took photographs of the show for use in local papers. He donated a silver cup to the society to go to the winner of the best junior photographer competition - always generously slipping a £10 note in for the winner.

His interest in horticulture extended to his own garden - which helped win the Village in Bloom competition for Old Windsor several times.
Neighbours in Albany formed a close bond with Mr Moore during his final illness, looking after his welfare.
A vigil of his friends gathered outside his house on Tuesday evening to say a final goodbye.
