The ongoing vaccination programme has seen 100 per cent of residents at the Manor Care Home in Old Windsor given the life saving jabs, while 80 per cent of staff have also received the vaccine.

One of the care home team is Kelvin - a nurse who features in a film on YouTube that was made on the premises.

The film features him in conversation with veteran Windsor GP Doctor Adrian Hayter, who is the national clinical director for older people and integrated person-centred care.

During the six minute film Doctor Hayter - who is a former chairman of Windsor, Ascot and Maidenhead Clinical Commissioning Group - discusses with Kelvin why he was initially worried about taking the vaccine.

Kelvin reveals that he had heard that pregnant women were not advised to take it and that this had caused him concern about its safety.

But following a session on Zoom between Doctor Hayter and staff at the care home Kelvin went ahead and had the jab.

He explains in the film: "I knew it was going to be the norm and to be a good citizen it was important for me to have it.

"Support from the team also helped build my confidence in deciding to have it."
