More than 50 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Berkshire in the past 24 hours.
Public Health England has recorded 52 new lab-confirmed cases in the past 24 hours, in areas including Reading, Bracknell, Wokingham, West Berkshire, Slough and Windsor and Maidenhead.
These figures, correct as of Saturday, March 6, at 4pm bringing the latest total for the county to 54,162 cases.

The local breakdown for the past 24 hours as follows:
Bracknell Forest - 2 cases, 6,839 total
Wokingham - 3 cases 7,905 total
Reading - 9 cases, 10,543
West Berkshire - 3 cases, 6,125
Slough - 29 cases, 14,693
Windsor and Maidenhead - 13 cases, 8,057 total
There have now been 4,213,343 people across the UK who have tested positive for Covid-19 - a daily increase of 6,040.

Parents dropping their children off at school have been warned against bending coronavirus rules as the “next few weeks are going to be crucial” in keeping infections and hospital admissions down.
Infectious disease expert Dr Mike Tildesley said it is “possible” to keep the reproductive number – or R value – of the virus below 1 with schools open, but everyone must continue to follow “all the other rules”.
Schools in England are due to reopen from Monday, a move Education Secretary Gavin Williamson said marks the “beginning of the road back to normality”.
Vaccinations
Government data up to March 5 shows that of the 22,887,118 jabs given in the UK so far, 21,796,278 were first doses – a rise of 437,463 on the previous day.
Some 1,090,840 were second doses, an increase of 56,772.
South East – 2,980,223 first and 129,116 second doses (3,109,339)
