STRONG winds of up to 55mph are possible overnight this week, prompting a warning from the Met Office.
The weather agency has issued a yellow alert, saying "strong and gusty" winds are expected to develop on Wednesday evening, continuing into Thursday.
Areas affected include Reading, Bracknell Forest, Wokingham, West Berkshire, Slough, and Windsor and Maidenhead.
A yellow warning for wind is in place across Wednesday and Thursday. If you're making an essential journey, give vulnerable road users including cyclists, motorcyclists and pedestrians more room. The Met Office says the strong wind could be accompanied by "heavy and blustery" showers that "may bring some disruption" across England and Wales.
They said: "Strong and gusty winds are likely to develop on Wednesday evening and continue into Thursday across England and Wales.
"Gusts of 50-55 mph are possible inland, especially close to showers. Gusts may reach 60-70 mph on coasts and hills, especially in the west, before gradually easing on Thursday afternoon."
They warned that there could be loss of power and some delays on the road and trains.
The yellow alert is currently in place between 9pm on Wednesday night and 3pm on Thursday.
