Hundreds of 'reckless' people gathered at a car meet-up in Slough, police said.

A car cruise had travelled from outside of the Thames Valley area into Edinburgh Avenue, Slough on Saturday, March 20.

Police officers attended the scene and released a drone into the sky as part of their investigation.

Thames Valley Police said those who attended the car meet were 'reckless' and increased the risk of others catching coronavirus.

A spokesperson for TVP said: “Officers attended, engaged and carried out high visibility patrols and our drone unit was deployed to gather intelligence.

"Those at the meet then dispersed and moved on.

"This behaviour puts not only the public at risk from erratic, reckless and dangerous driving but we are currently still in a global pandemic fighting coronavirus and this reckless behaviour increases the risk of transmission of the virus and could risk others’ lives.
