A FURTHER 56 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Berkshire in the past 24 hours.
Public Health England has recorded 56 new lab-confirmed cases in the past 24 hours, in areas including Reading, Bracknell, Wokingham, West Berkshire, Slough and Windsor and Maidenhead.

These figures, correct as of Wednesday, March 31, at 4.00pm, bring the latest total for the county to 55,860.
The local breakdown for the past 24 hours as follows:
Reading - 6 cases, 10,762 total
Bracknell Forest - 4 cases, 6,998 total
Wokingham - 1 cases, 8,341 total
West Berkshire - 6 cases, 6,285 total
Slough - 24 cases, 15,133 total
Windsor and Maidenhead - 15 cases, 8,341 total
There have now been 4,345,788 people across the UK who have tested positive for Covid-19.

The latest seven-day rate per 100,000 people locally are as follows:
Reading - 42
Bracknell Forest - 33.5
Wokingham - 36.8
West Berkshire - 30.9
Slough - 83.6
Windsor and Maidenhead - 66.7

Government data up to March 30 shows that of the 35,014,074 jabs given in the UK so far, 30,905,538 were first doses – a rise of 224,590 on the previous day.
Some 4,108,536 were second doses, an increase of 270,526.
