A man has been sentenced to prison after police discovered a large cannabis farm in Slough.

On Saturday, February 6, police found a cannabis factory at a house on Hillside in Slough.

Arbar Alia, 19, of Hillside, Slough was arrested at his home after attempting to run away from police.

As a result, he was charged the next day and attended a court trial for drugs offences.

Alia pleaded guilty at Reading Crown Court on Wednesday, March 31, to one count of production of a controlled drug of class B.

He was jailed for 30 weeks.

Detective Constable Thomas Harman, of Slough police station said: “This conviction demonstrates how Thames Valley Police work proactively to disrupt organised criminals and reduce the impact of drugs on our communities.
