A MAN has been jailed this week after admitting to sexual assault and beating a woman in Slough.

Sorin Anitei, 46, of no fixed abode, admitted one count of sexual assault by touching, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm in Reading Crown Court on April 21.

This was after Anitei sexually assaulting a woman in her fourties, in woodland near Slough Road, Slough, on January 9, 2021. 

The victim sustained serious bruising to her face as well as a broken nose at the time. 

Anitei was arrested on January 12, and charged the next day.

Slough Observer:

He was sentenced to one year and nine months' imprisonment, and was placed on the Sex Offenders Register for 10 years. 

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Thomas Harman, based at Slough police station, said: “Sorin Anitei sexually assaulted and badly injured a vulnerable woman in a secluded location.

“I believe the serious nature of this offence is reflected in the sentence, which will also help prevent him from further offending.

“I would also like to thank the members of public that stopped to help the victim.”
