The Cricketers. Maidenhead - 4.5 stars

This dog-friendly country pub in Littlewick Green has been rated highly on Google.

It's a lovely village pub overlooking the cricket green with ample seating outside. There is also a good choice of ales rather than beers and they have Sunday roasts - what's not to love?

The Bell Inn, Reading - 4.7 stars

This lovely 14th-century pub has a large garden and has been praised for its good selection of ciders.

Reviewers say: "Very friendly staff and a lovely place to sit in the sun and enjoy a drink and similarly: "Always a great evening - so glad to be back - covid arrangements good"

The Oak & Saw, Taplow - 4.6 stars

This lovely pub in the middle of Taplow has a great garden and has been rated as one of Berkshire's best pubs on Google Reviews.

One person said: "Very covid safe, wonderful staff and beer and food were excellent. Highly recommend." 

The Swan, Windsor - 4.7 stars

This lovely 18th-century pub has received lots of support from the community since reopening. 

One reviewer said: "Great little pub. Support your local boozer. I wish them every success as we come out of lockdown."

They've got a great patio area for outdoor drinking and the atmosphere is described as 'friendly'. 

The Dewdrop Inn, Maidenhead - 4.5 stars

Another Maidenhead boozer comes in as a strong contender with almost 300 positive reviews.

It's described on Google as a 17th-century country gastropub with a log fire, ceiling beams and a large beer garden.

One person said: "Food was great" and "Lovely little pub in the middle of woodlands serving really good home made food. Covid safe restrictions."
