A MAN has been banned from driving for more than a year after refusing a roadside drugs test.
Kai Holtzhausen, of Penzance Spur, Slough, was stopped by police while driving in Maidenhead on March 29.
The 33 year old was pulled over in Rushington Avenue by a Thames Valley Police officer and asked for a saliva sample.
A saliva sample is requested by police to use in a roadside drug-wipe.

Holtzhausen refused and as a result was arrested, and on March 30 was charged with failing to provide a specimen for analysis.
The defendant pleaded guilty at Slough Magistrates’ Court on May 6.
He was handed a 16-month driving ban and a fine.

Investigating officer, PC Luke Jenkins, based at Maidenhead police station, said: “I am pleased to see that a disqualification has been imposed on this occasion.
“It makes it very clear that if you fail to provide, you may end up with a long term of disqualification.”
