A number of areas across Berkshire have reported a rise in the number of new coronavirus cases in the past week.

Neighbourhoods in the county have seen cases jump up, compared to the week before.

The most recent Public Health England data shows the picture in the seven days to May 8, compared to the seven days to May 1.

It comes after national concerns over the Indian coronavirus variant as new figures show cases have more than doubled in a week.

Analysis of this local data has found that the majority of areas which have seen a rise in cases have only seen slight increases - between one and three new cases.

Although these areas have seen a rise, the majority of postcode areas across the region are thankfully continuing to see a steady decline in Covid cases.

Langley St Mary's - 4 cases, up by 1, rate: 43.1

Stoke Poges & George Green - 5 case, up by 3, rate: 55.6

Langley Foxborough - 6 cases, up by 2, rate: 67.9
