Drink drivers have been caught by police on our roads.

The Slough Observer publishes this information in the public interest, as drink and drug drivers can cause serious injury or death to themselves or others.

Here is a round-up of some of those who have been named for drink or driving in court since the start of the year.

MANRAJ SINGH CHANNA

Aged 33, of Humber Road, Slough. Admitted drink-driving in an Hyundai LT in Parlaunt Road on December 16. Tested positive for 79 microgrammes (mcg) of alcohol per 100 millilitres (ml) of breath. Fined £369, to pay surcharge to fund victim services of £37, to pay costs of £86 to the Crown Prosecution Service. Disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 36 months, to be reduced by 36 weeks if they complete a driving course.

FOUZIA AHMED

Aged 37 of Pevensey Rd, Slough, Admitted drink-driving in Little Kimble, Aylesbury. He admitted to the charges on March 10 last month and is disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 12 months. He was fined £200, ordered to pay a victims surcharge or £34 and £85 in court costs.

Aged 42, of Moorland Avenue, Colnbrook. Admitted drink-driving in a Ford Transit Van on the A4 Colnbrook bypass on March 3, 2021. Tested positive for 93 microgrammes (mcg) of alcohol per 100 millilitres (ml) of breath. Fined £440, to pay surcharge to fund victim services of £44, to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service. Disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for six months.

THIRUMALESH SUBRAMANYAM

Aged 42, of Calder Close, Maidenhead. Admitted drink-driving in a Honda CRV on Norfolk Road on March 7. Tested positive for 75 microgrammes (mcg) of alcohol per 100 millilitres (ml) of breath. Fined £692, to pay surcharge to fund victim services of £69, to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service. A collection order was made. Disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 18 months. Disqualification to be reduced by 18 weeks if a course is completed.
