FOUR people have been convicted of stealing meat, perfume, alcohol and even clothes from shops in Slough in recent months.

Of these shoplifters who appeared in Berkshire Magistrates’ Court on charges of theft, all pleaded guilty and were convicted for their crimes.

One person was handed a suspended sentence because of how 'serious the theft was' and others were given community orders.

Lisa Fletcher of High Street, Langley, pleaded guilty to stealing perfume worth £175 from Tesco Extra in Brunel Way on October 16, 2020.

The 38-year-old was sentenced to 60 days suspended for 6 months and fined a total of £280.

Milad Torab of Hatch Lane, West Drayton, was given a community order for bottles of alcohol to the value of £239.50 in Tesco in Slough.

The theft happened on August 27, 2020 and he pleaded guilty on April 8.

The 36-year-old must comply with a rehabilitation order attend appointments with the responsible officer or someone else nominated by them.

He was also fined £95.

Anthony Weir of Colenorton Crescent, Windsor, pleaded guilty to stealing meat and other items to the value of £34.55 from Tesco Express.

The 54-year-old also stole two sweatshirts from GAP in Peascod Street in Windsor on September 4, 2020.

Weir was fined £34 in court on April 21.

Malcolm Hearn, of Grenville Close, Burnham, was fined £523 in total for shoplifting offences on multiple occasions.

The 22-year-old was caught stealing meat, alcohol, fruit and veg and Persil liquid, to the value of £288.04 from Tesco Express on January 31.

One month later on February 18, Hearn stole more meat items to the value of £36.00 from Tesco in Burnham High Street.

He admitted to both of these crimes.
