Two arrested on suspicion of murder following death of 49-year-old woman

Two men were arrested earlier this week following the death of a woman in Slough.

Officers initially treated the death as unexplained but have now launched a murder investigation following the arrests of a 35-year-old man and a 49-year-old man, both from Slough, in connection with the death. 

Man jailed after committing terrifying knifepoint robbery in Slough

A man has been jailed to seven years in prison with a further three years on licence after committing a knifepoint robbery in Slough.

Mark Church, aged 45, entered the McColl’s Convenience Store in Scaffell Road, Slough at 6.15am on January 15 last year.

Church stole more than £3,750 in cash, cigarettes and stamps.

Furniture Village head office in Slough hit by cyber attack

Furniture Villages' head office in Slough fell victim to a cyber attack with customers experiencing 'delays to their orders' earlier this week.

The company based on Bath Road, Slough confirmed in a statement that they were the 'target of a cybersecurity attack'.

As a result, there were delays to customers orders and deliveries across the UK.

Fine for chicken shop boss after mould found at 'filthy' High Street eatery

A WATFORD man has been told to pay more than £1,000 after mould and old food was found at his 'filthy' his peri-peri chicken restaurant.

Zeshan Haque, of The Harebreaks, Watford, was told his Peri Peri Original eatery on Slough High Street breached food hygiene rules in July 2018.

Langley could be split between Slough and Windsor in boundary shake-up

Langley could be split in two between Slough and Windsor under a proposed boundary shake-up in England’s electoral map in 2023.

The Boundary Commission for England published their initial nationwide review into Parliamentary constituencies in England on Tuesday.

They say redrawing the political map will give each MP a roughly similar number of voters.
