Drink drivers have been caught by police on our roads.

The Slough Observer publishes this information in the public interest, as drink and drug drivers can cause serious injury or death to themselves or others.

Here is a round-up of some of those who have been named for drink driving in court in Maidenhead since the start of the year.

Samantha Louise Wilcox

On April 9 this year, caught on Windsor Road, Maidenhead, with 54 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeding the prescribed limit. Fined £346. Has to pay a victim surcharge of £35 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service. Disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 15 months.

Chris Hall

On February 8 this year, caught on A404M, Maidenhead, with 79 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeding the prescribed limit. Fined £650. Has to pay a victim surcharge of £65 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service. Disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 21 months.

Charan Jalaf

On February 11 this year, caught on the A308 Maidenhead, with 43 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeding the prescribed limit. Fined £576. Has to pay a victim surcharge of £58 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service. Disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 12 months.

On January 31 this year, caught on Maidenhead Road, Cookham, with 52 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeding the prescribed limit. Fined £307. Has to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service. Disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 12 months.

Jagjit Bassan

On December 20, 2020, caught on Windsor Road, Miadenhead, with 81 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeding the prescribed limit. Fined £369. Has to pay a victim surcharge of £37 and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service. Disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for six months.
