Plans for next years platinum jubilee celebrations in Windsor have been announced.
To celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s 70 years on the throne, a series of events is planned in and around Windsor, throughout the year.
The Bank Holiday weekend from June 2-5 will include a special programme of activities, to which everyone in the locality is invited.

Plans include a giant picnic on the Long Walk and a parade of 70 cars, each representing a year of H.M. The Queen’s reign.
Giant screens will be in place so that major Platinum Jubilee events in London can be seen live from Windsor, alongside music and other local activities.

Most annual events, including the Royal Windsor Horse Show, the Windsor Festival and the Royal Windsor Rose and Horticultural Society Show will have special Jubilee status. The Committee is working alongside the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead,
The Windsor and Eton Brewery and The Tarbay Botanist are producing bespoke Platinum Jubilee products for sale.
Further details will be announced in Autumn.
