A TEENAGER has been arrested after a man was attacked near the bandstand in Newbury.
The 18-year-old victim was walking through Victoria Park about 6.15pm on Wednesday, July 21, when it happened.
A fight broke out and the attacker punched the victim twice in the face and then kicked him in the face when he was on the floor.
The victim had a swollen and bruised left eye after the attack but did not need hospital treatment.
An 18-year-old man, from Newbury, has since been arrested on suspicion of assault and has been released under investigation.
Investigating officer PC Macy Watson, based at Newbury police station said: “I am appealing for any witnesses to this incident to please get in touch.
