A ROWER from Maidenhead has helped his team book their spot in the Olympics final.
Jack Beaumont, Angus Groom, Harry Leask and Tom Barras missed out on an automatic place in Team GB's men's quadruple scullers,. but they responded with a more convincing performance on Sunday, July 25.
They managed to win in yesterday morning's repache with a time of 5:55.91, rowing their way to the final.

The A final was meant to go ahead on Tuesday but has been moved due to adverse weather conditions.
Another Berkshire athlete also made great progress shining in the women's four.
Sunningdale's Hattie Taylor, alongside Rowan McKellar, Karen Bennett and Rebecca Shorten won the race in a time of 6:46:20, just 0.37 seconds ahead of Poland in second.
