A FEMALE police officer has been attacked after she was followed back to the station in Reading.

Thames Valley Police has launched a CCTV appeal after the assault happened on Friday, July 16.

The force said at about 8pm the victim was followed by a man to the rear entrance of Reading Police Station, Castle Street.

It was outside the police station that the female officer was assaulted, she was not injured.

Officers are now looking to speak to the man in the CCTV who they believe may have information that could help with the investigation.

Investigating officer, PC Max Cassinelli, based at Reading police station, said: “We are releasing these CCTV images of a man that we believe may have information about this incident.

“I would urge anyone who recognises this man, or if you believe it is you, to get in touch with police.

“I would also appeal to any witnesses to this incident, or anyone who may have information about what happened, to please come forward.
