A man has been told to carry out unpaid work after admitting to beating a GP receptionist in Reading last year.
Riyaz Karim, of Belmont Road, Reading, pleaded guilty to assault by beating of an emergency worker on June 4, 2020.

The GP receptionist is believed to work at Shinfield Health Centre on School Green in Reading.
Appearing at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, July 14, 41-year-old Karim was told his punishment would be 80 hours of unpaid work in the community.

He was also told to pay £50 compensation and £100 in costs.
According to the court, Karim also goes by the name of Joynal Abdin.
