A man from Iver has been ordered to pay nearly £1,000 after he was caught not wearing a face mask indoors.

Alexander Todd, 30, of Iver Lane in Iver, was convicted on July 1 for entering or remaining in a place in England without wearing a face mask.

Todd was fined £660 and ordered to pay £291 costs after he was caught not wearing a mask in Uxbridge Underground Station, Uxbridge, on February 11.

Transport For London brought the charges to Lavender Hill Magistrates’ Court, and Todd was found guilty of the charge in his absence.

The offence took place before restrictions on wearing face masks were relaxed in England.
