Plans to convert offices used by the mental health team and memory clinic in Maidenhead into almost 40 new flats have been granted prior approval.

The offices are currently located above the Nicholsons Shopping Centre in Maidenhead and are now set to be converted into 37 new apartments.

The proposed apartments are comprised of four studio, 14 one-beds, and 19 two-bedroom apartments.

Provision for parking and cycle storage have been outlined in the plans

Currently, there are 85 car parking spaces available that were formerly utilised by office employees.

The number of available spaces will be shrunk to 28 spaces for future residents.

These spaces will be located in the multistorey car park for the Nicholsons Walk shopping centre.

56 cycle spaces will be provided for the residents in the existing basement of the building.
