POLICE are searching for a specific witness who help two people and a baby to hospital after a 'serious' crash.

Thames Valley Police said a silver Vauxhall Meriva collided with a tree on the A308 Maidenhead Road when it happened yesterday, October 16.

The vehicle was travelling south on the A308 near Pinkneys Green etween midday and 12.50pm, south of the A404M when it happened.

The crash involved a tree on the opposite side of the road.

Police said the driver and passenger, both in their twenties, and a baby in the vehicle were taken to Wexham Park Hospital.

The passenger had serious injuries and remains in hospital at this time. The driver and baby have been discharged, according to the force.

Police would like to speak to a witness who stopped at the scene soon after the crash and helpped get the trio to hospital.

Investigating officer PC Greg Jones of the Roads Policing Unit in Taplow, said: “Firstly, our thoughts go out to those who were injured in this incident and wish them a speedy and full recovery.

“We are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this collision and would like to speak to a specific witness.

“A member of the public either witnessed the collision, or came across the vehicle a short time later and transported the three people from the Vauxhall to hospital.

“We would like to speak with them about this incident and would encourage them to get in touch.

“We would also like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision or may have dash-cam footage of the incident or the vehicle prior.
