Keeping with the theme for the last couple of weeks, we have dug out some old photos from our archive to look at what once went on in Slough and the surrounding areas.
We have dove into our timeless collection of photographs, which show Slough in a different light, compared to what you see now in 2021.
For example, some of the photos this week go back to the late 1930s, some from the 1950s and one, is from a time that nobody knows.
So, what does this week have to offer?
Well, we have managed to find a steam engine pulling two carriages and a guard's van, crossing over a level crossing near Slough, with the photo dating back to 1939.
A year earlier, The Lord Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire was seen inspecting ex-soldiers at Lascelles Playing Fields in Slough back in September 1938.
Fast forward 12 years, and an image of two buildings on the eastern side of the roundabout where the old road to Slough meets the A40 in the old town, Beaconsfield was taken.
This photo was snapped in February 1950.
Moving over to near Burnham Beaches, this image shows the frost covering the green land of grass and trees near Farnham Common.
The date of when this photo was taken is not known.
Finally, one of the few coloured photos we have in stock from yesteryear, here is a photo of the gardens in the park with the Town Hall in the background at Lascelles Park.
This was taken in the 1980s, but the exact year and month are not known.
