A TRAFFIC warden has been singled out by an angry pedestrian for parking on double yellow lines.

The fuming resident filmed the parking enforcement officer walking to her car parked illegally in Slough.

He confronted the female traffic warden for parking on double yellow lines asking her why she was parked there.

As she got into her car, she replied telling him to ask the council and then ignored him.

Confused, the angry driver asked 'what is your badge number?' before she drove off.

Motorists in the UK are not allowed to park on double yellow lines and doing so can land you a £70 fixed penalty notice fine.

Parking enforcement officers are employed by the council to monitor people illegally parking on yellow lines and parking in a space for longer than allowed.

Despite the traffic warden in Slough doing just that, the council have defended her actions.

A spokesman said: “Our civil enforcement officers - parking staff - are entitled to park on yellow lines when they are on duty so they can do their jobs quickly and safely.

“The lady in the video is not doing anything wrong.”

The video was captured by Shayan Nazim and then shared on Slough Official Instagram.

Others disagree, with users expressing their opinion online.

Queenie Olynie said: “These wardens should be setting an example, this is disgusting behaviour.”

@Saf.ski on Instagram said: "This one in particular dishes out tickets like no man's business. Double standard."
