A MAN has been dealt with by Island magistrates after driving a BMW X5 dangerously on the mainland.
Anthony Byron Rollins, 38, appeared care of High Street, Ventnor, but had a previous address listed of Wexham Road, Slough, Berkshire.
He admitted dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, and driving without insurance, near the Thames in Sonning, Berkshire.
The court heard that Rollins overtook two vehicles and went through a red light on a blind bridge, and an accident occurred.
Rollins was sentenced to four weeks in custody, suspended for 18 months.
He must undertake an 18-month supervision period to include 200 hours of unpaid work.
He must pay a surcharge of £128 and costs of £85.
Additionally, he was disqualified from driving for 24 months.
