SLOUGH’S MP has joined calls demanding the Prime Minister to resign after leaked footage of senior Downing Street staff laughing about a Christmas Party last year emerged.
Boris Johnson apologised “unreservedly” in Parliament yesterday (Dec 8) after ITV obtained footage showing No 10 staff joking about an alleged party just days after it happened back when the country was in lockdown.
Despite ordering an inquiry into the matter, the Prime Minister maintained he was “assured” since these allegations emerged that “there was no party and no Covid rules were broken”.

Mr Dhesi said: “I think seriously the Prime Minister needs to resign so that we can get some decorum, some respect, and restoration back into government.
“It’s these ministers, by the way, that are giving us lectures ad nauseam in Parliament about British values [and] honesty. They should be practising what they preach.”
When asked why it should matter as it happened a year ago, the Labour MP said “the truth matters,” adding: “The history of Parliament and of leadership demands that those that are leading the country are held to a higher standard.”

He added: “After tragically losing three family members to Covid and not even being able to carry my own grandmother’s coffin at her funeral, I know the pain that is felt across the country when those who created the rules did not even follow them.”
In Parliament, Mr Johnson said the opposition is “continuing to play politics” and he will “get on with the job”.
