AS CHRISTMAS fast approaches, families in Slough have enjoyed a range of festive activities during a busy shopping period.
The Queensmere Observatory, in Slough, has hosted interactive craft workshops each Saturday to bring some Christmas cheer to shoppers.
Run by the Art Classes group, which is located on the upper mall in the centre, the free sessions have brought the community together.

Teddy’s Playtown, which has been part of the shopping centre since the Summer, have seen families enjoy its soft play facilities and café.
Being activity in the community, the soft play has provided various festive activities leading up to Christmas.
Santa will be in his grotto at Teddy’s Playtown on December 18 and 19.

Chris Shaw, centre manager, said he is delighted to hold these free family events for the community.
He said: “By providing activities for local families, we are bringing the community together during the festive period and it’s great to see everyone enjoying themselves."
On Sundays, the shopping centre also introduced interactive walk around entertainers to get shoppers in the festive mood.
Mr Shaw added: “We look forward to hosting more free events at the shopping centre throughout 2022.”
