Channel 5 producers are on the hunt for messy people in Lancashire to feature in one of their TV shows.

Nick Knowles’ Big House Clearout is returning for a second series and will be transforming the most cluttered and messy houses into dream homes.

While producers are accepting applicants from all over the UK, they are particularly interested in casting an individual or family from Lancashire for the very first time.

A spokesperson said: “We are really excited to received applicants from the Lancashire area for the new series.

“We want to hit all of the UK and have a diverse range of families, property styles and stories featured on the show."

In the show, families are offered a clear-out of all their unneeded clutter and then Nick and his team will give their home a stunning makeover.

In the last series, Nick visited families in Kent, Surrey, Buckinghamshire, Nottinghamshire, Buckinghamshire and the Cotswolds, giving their cluttered homes a makeover.

A spokesperson said: “We are back for a second series and looking for households with clutter ‘busting from the seams’ and we are hoping to carry out some life-changing makeovers from people in the area.

“We are looking for a more diverse range of properties, including houseboats to ground floor flats – but all property types will be considered”.

The show’s casting team said it is a “life-changing” experience that applicants will be unlikely to forget.

They said: “It really is a life-changing experience that we want to find the right families for.

“In the last series, the price of people homes went up in value simply because we carried out a makeover on them.”

If you would like to take part you need to be a homeowner. In the email application, you will need to include some personal information as well as some photos of the clutter in your home.
