A judge ordered three men who stole fuel from a Tesco in Slough to work 320 hours unpaid between them and handed one a suspended prison sentence.
Charlie Joseph Ward, 29, and Brian Ward, 27, both of Woodside Park, Oxford Road, Coventry, along with Charlie Ward, 32, of Riverside Caravan Park, By-Pass Road, Chester, stole fuel valued at £131.50 on February 26, 2021.
At Reading Magistrates Court on January 13, 2022, Charlie Joseph Ward was sentenced to six weeks in prison suspended for 18 months.

The judge considered his offence more serious due to a record of offending and failing to comply with community orders.
He was ordered to undertake 100 hours unpaid work, as was Brian Ward.

Charlie Ward was told to work 120 hours unpaid.
All three were ordered to pay £44 in compensation each and £85 in costs.
