MASKED men have stormed a Co-op in Slough and threatened staff with crowbars.

Thames Valley Police said three men raided the shop in Twist Way and made off with cash containers.

It happened about 9.25pm on Saturday, February 12.

The force said the masked men ran to the tills and one threatened a security guard with a crowbar and held him down by his neck.

The other two men used crowbars to remove cash containers before all three ran out of the store and fled in a silver Vauxhall Astra northbound along Wentworth Avenue.

The victim was not injured.

Detective Sergeant Paul Allum, based at Slough police station, said: “I appreciate this incident will cause some concern in the local community, but I would like to reassure the public that we are conducting a thorough investigation and you will see an increased police presence in the area while this investigation continues.

“If you have any concerns or information, please do not hesitate to speak to any of our officers on the scene.”

Police described the first offender as wearing an orange florescent Hi-vis sleeve jacket, orange gloves, dark trousers, and grey shoes.

The second offender was wearing a black hooded coat, glove, grey trousers, and black shoes.

The third offender was wearing a black jacket with white sleeves with a grey top underneath, black trousers and blue and white trainers.

Detective Sergeant Paul Allum added: "I am appealing for any witnesses of this incident or anyone who was in the area around 9.20pm with dash-cam footage to get in touch.
