A CAFE in Wraysbury welcomed its first lot of customers with open arms over the weekend.

The Kitchen cafe, located on Wraysbury High Street, hosted its opening weekend on Saturday, March 12.

And owners Nicky and Garry Hall said it was a very busy weekend with customers queuing out the door.

Nicky said: "We couldn't have wished for a better opening weekend, it was just amazing.

"It was mad, but it was very good and we had lots of support from family, friends and people from the village."

The dog friendly cafe sells a range of food including breakfast baps, full english breakfast, sharing boards, jacket potatoes, sandwiches and more.

And the menu even features a selection of dog dishes including scrambled or raw egg, bone brorth slurps, meaty scraps and a doggy treat bag.

Garry said: "The opening weekend was manic.

"There was about four or five of us in the kitchen and it was great, we saw lots of friends and lots of people we didn't know so we made some new friends as well."

Garry explained they even had a scooter club of 20 men all on old Vespa's stop by.

He said the reaction from customers so far has been "absolutely fantastic".

"The Facebook comments we've had have just been incredible," he said.

"We're not just trying to be a normal cafe, we're going to make it interesting for people at the same time by offering different things."

Garry added each Saturday he's going to try and make something different for residents, whether that's a BBQ outside or a Mexican Saturday.

"We're just going to make it fun for the village and for everyone who turns up and we'll promote all that through Facebook.

"I want to say a massive thank you to everyone that's supported us and for all their comments on Facebook, it's been wonderful."
