A SLOUGH pervert who described himself as a ‘magnet for sexy, young girls’ has been locked up after sending sexual messages to four teenage girls.

Stephen Curry, of West End Court, sent videos and pictures of himself masturbating and even tried to arrange to meet up for sex with one of the girls in his car.

This never materialised, however, as all four girls were actually adult paedophile hunters operating decoy profiles online.

The air conditioning engineer was caught out after one of the profile operators reported Curry’s sexual messages to police.

The perverted chats with the four girls occurred online between December 2019 and February 2020 when Curry was 48.

On all four occasions, Curry initiated the conversations and each time the girls made clear they were aged 14 (with one girl claiming her age was 12).

Reading Crown Court heard how Curry used his actual name, age and address on an online profile to talk to three of the girls.

Speaking to one girl, he told her he ‘felt like a dirty old man’ and he was ‘going through a midlife crisis.

He told her he liked her breasts and asked her for ‘sexy pics’.

Chatting with another girl, who gave her age as 12, he asked her about sex and quizzed her over whether she had seen a penis.

Curry told her to “be careful online because there are weird people out there.”

Reading Crown Court heard how Curry told one profile: “I’m a magnet to young sexy girls -- you’re the fourth one to talk to me.”

The Slough man was arrested after one of the adults operating a girl’s profile reported him to police.

Officers seized his phone and found another chat with a 14-year-old girl, operated by a man, which predated the three other conversations back to December 2019.

The girl sent him a video of a woman performing a sex act and told him she was 14.

Curry did not believe her initially but then arranged to meet up for sex in his car.

The meeting was called off after Curry said he was ‘scared’ but the chats continued.

He said a video of himself masturbating and told her he loved her and that he ‘trusted her more than his wife’.

Curry told the girl she “put a smile on her face and a bulge in his pants” and that he wanted her to “have his babies”, according to prosecutor Sarah Selby

The Slough man sent another picture of his penis to the girl on Christmas Day 2020 but the conversation ended soon afterwards when the girl used a different name to the one she had used previously.

Curry held his head in his hands as Ms Selby read out the excruciating messages in their entirety.

Nadia Chbat, defending, said Curry engaged in these ‘shocking’ conversations ‘at times of difficulty in his life’ and would pursue them as a form of ‘escapism’.

The court heard how Curry has split from his wife following his convictions and is now living with his parents.

Ms Chbat said Curry ‘regrets’ his actions and he was ‘deeply remorseful’ for what he had done.

The barrister said it was unlikely the courts would see Curry again as he was identified as having a ‘low risk’ of reoffending.

She argued his actions constituted a ‘limited period of madness’ in his life.

“He has let himself down in the most appalling way and has come to court to take his sentence knowing the impact that will have on his family”, Ms Chbat said.

His Honour Judge Burgess, sentencing, said Curry’s actions were “shocking and disgusting” and ‘illegal and immoral’.

Curry was sentenced to 32 months in prison for four counts of attempting to engage in sexual communications with a child, arranging the commission of a child sex offence and attempting to cause a child to watch a sexual act.

The Slough man appeared to bow his head and fidget as he learnt his prison term.

He was sentenced at Reading Crown Court on Friday, March 18.
