Sainsbury's, on Farnham Road, has confirmed the closure means customers will now have to go to alternative nearby stores.

A spokesperson for Sainsbury's said: “We understand this will be an unsettling time for those affected and we’re supporting them in any way we can.

“This includes exploring alternative roles within Sainsbury’s.

“Customers can continue to shop at our other nearby stores, including our Taplow and Uxbridge Road Superstore.”

Taking to Twitter, some customers aren't happy with the announcement.

The Sainsbury's spokesperson also added they regularly review branches and the decision to close a store is “never taken lightly”.
