A former pub where a man was tragically punched and killed will be transformed into flats under new plans.
Bucks Council has given conditional consent to Mr Davies for a ‘change of use’ of The George Inn in Burnham, a Grade II Listed building.
Plans outline both internal and external alterations in association with a conversion to a residential property, with a first-floor rear extension to provide six flats.

The scheme is identical to that of an extant one already approved, save for some slight amendments.
The George is currently permanently closed.

The pub suffered tragedy when on August 13, 2016, Anthony Gardener punched and killed fellow pub-goer Dean Haverley.
Gardener, of Burlington Road, claimed he threw a punch at Mr Haverley in self-defence, but the incident was captured on CCTV, and a jury concluded it was an unlawful act.
Mr Haverley was treated at the scene but later died in hospital.

Gardener was found unanimously guilty of one count of manslaughter at Reading Crown Court following a six-day trial. He was jailed for eight years.
“It is considered that the proposed amendments and alterations would respect the special architectural and historic interest of the listed building,” a planning statement reads.
