The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge hand in hand with Prince George and Princess Charlotte led royal family members into today’s Easter Sunday service at Windsor.
Her Majesty The Queen was absent from the traditional service, with national reports mentioning recent mobility issues.
The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, who represented the Queen at Thursday’s Royal Maundy service, were also absent from today’s service.
Instead, William and Kate led more than 20 royal family members down from the castle and into St George’s Chapel for the Easter Sunday Mattins service.
Kate wore light blue in matching form with daughter Charlotte also in blue, as they walked into the chapel.
Among the royal family members was Earl and Countess of Wessex with their children, Lady Louise Windsor and James, Viscount Severn.
Princess Eugenie, Peter Phillips and his children Savannah and Isla. Zara and Mike Tindall also joined the service with their eldest daughter Mia.
The service has been a long-standing tradition for the Queen, who turns 96 on Thursday, alongside other members of the royal family on the morning of Easter Sunday.
Staff at the castle said although the Queen was not present at the service she would be spending the day with her family afterwards.
A small crowd greeted the royals outside St George’s Chapel in the glorious spring sunshine.
