AREAS across Berkshire are inviting residents to join Her Majesty The Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations this year.

Celebrations to mark The Queen's 70-year milestone as monarch are set to take place over the extended bank holiday weekend from June 2 to June 5.

Many events are being planned across the county so here's a list of what's on the calendar so far:

 

ROYAL BOROUGH

Thursday, June 2 – Windsor Platinum Jubilee Beacon Lighting and Fireworks (Long Walk)

Friday, June 3 – Jubilee Concert in St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle

Saturday, June 4 – Jubilee Picnic in the Park (Long Walk)

Sunday, June 5 – Windsor’s Big Lunch (Long Walk)

 

WRAYSBURY:

Thursday, June 2 - Planting of an Ankerwycke Yew sapling (Wraysbury Memorial Ground at 2pm)

Thursday, June 2 - Lighting of the Wraysbury Beacon (Wraysbury Memorial Ground at 9.15pm)

Friday, June 3 - Evening entertainment with Terry Gleed (Wraysbury Village Hall)

Saturday, June 4 – Afternoon tea with entertainment (Wraysbury Village Hall) from 2.30pm to 5pm.
Sunday, June 5 - Jubilee Commemoration Service (St Andrew’s Church) at 6pm.

Saturday, June 11 – Summer Fair from 1pm until 4pm.

Sunday, June 5 - The Big Jubilee Lunch (St Mary's Churchyard) from midday to 4pm.

Monday, May 30 – Sunday, June 5 - The Jubilee Beacon augmented reality trail, across Reading. 

Thursday, June 2 - Beacon Lighting Ceremony,  (Abbey Ruins) at 9.15pm

Friday, June 3 – The Jubilee Tribute Concert (Abbey Ruins Reading) at 4.30pm.

Saturday, June 4 – Jubilee Dance (Caversham Lakes) at 4pm.

Saturday, June 4 - Reading Water Fest free festival, Forbury Gardens, Abbey Ruins and along the Kennet from 11am to 5pm.

Sunday, June 5 - Goring and Streatley Platinum Jubilee Celebrations at 12.30pm.

Sunday, June 5 - Trinity Concert Band Jubilee Children’s Concert for The Big Jubilee Lunch, Forbury Gardens

 

ASCOT

Thursday, June 2 - Sunninghill and Ascot Parish Council Platinum Jubilee Party in the Park (Sunninghill and Ascot Parish Council) at 4.30pm.

BRACKNELL/WOKINGHAM

Thursday, June 2 – Celebration of The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee (Great Hollands Recreation Ground) from 10am until 9pm.

Saturday, June 4 – The Queen’s Jubilee Party in the Park (Elms Field) from 2pm to 9.30pm.

Friday, June 3 to Sunday, June 5 - The Festival of Food and Music in Celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee (South Hill Park Arts Centre).
