GRAB your hat and sunglasses and go out and enjoy the sunshine this weekend because it’s going to be warm.

There are plenty of things to do outside in Slough and Windsor and we’ve rounded up five ideas you can do while soaking up some Vitamin D.

The Royal Windsor Horse Show, Windsor

For those wanting a fun day out watching show jumping competitions then this one’s for you.

Tickets are still on sale for the iconic Royal Windsor Horse Show 2022 where families can enjoy a range of show classes, competitions, food and drink at Windsor Castle.

The event started on Thursday, May 12 and will run until Sunday, May 15.

Riverside walks

Why not take a stroll with the family along the Grand Union Canal Slough Arm or along the River Thames in Windsor.

Take in the fresh air, look at the wildlife and maybe even stop for a drink and snack along the way.

Exploring the beautiful woodland

Slough and the Royal Borough are spoilt with picturesque parks and woodland including Windsor Great Park, Stoke Poges Memorial Ground, Black Park Country Park. Cippenham Park, Baylis Memorial Gardens, Cookham Moor and Ockwells Park.

Lunch in a pub garden

Sitting in a pub garden with a burger and chips is ‘a must’ when it comes to a hot weekend.

Why not pop down to one of your local pubs where you can sit outside and sip an ice cold drink.

Just some places in the area include The Wheatsheaf, Slough, The Herschel Arms, The Moon and Spoon, The Crown Inn, The Boatman, The Vansittart Arms and The Alma.

Hire a boat

There are plenty of companies in Windsor that let you hire a boat for a couple of hours or even for the day.

You can travel up and down the River Thames while taking in the sights of the town.
