1. Murderer will serve 30 years in jail (and even then he may not be let out)

The man who murdered a 26-year-old woman before dumping her body in Taplow Lake in 1987 has been locked up for decades. 

Donald Robertson, formerly of Slough, was jailed after being unanimously convicted of kidnapping, indecently assaulting and murdering Shani Warren at Reading Crown Court earlier this week. 

The 66-year-old was also sentenced for the kidnap and rape of a Slough girl, aged 16 in July 1981.

2. Popular bakery set to open new branch in Windsor

SAUSAGE roll fans will be excited to hear that Greggs is opening in Windsor.

The popular bakery has confirmed it will welcome customers to its new branch in the Royal Borough.

Windsor Town Forum heard the news that Greggs will be opening a store in Windsor in the near future.

The shop will be opening to those wanting their fix of baked good, sandwiches, savouries or the odd sweet treats on-the-go.

3. Horlicks Factory site 'taking shape' as developers continue with major transformation

AN ICONIC building in Slough is well underway with its major multi-million-pound transformation.

Homes are being built in Slough and property developers have come together to share their excitement for the town regeneration.

The Horlicks Factory is set to be transformed into 1,300 homes, workspaces, cafes, gyms, and restaurants.

And property developer Berkley Homes has given the latest update on how the project is going.

4. Terrifying Slough attack sees man suffer bleed to the brain

POLICE are hunting for two men following an attack which left a man in his 30s suffer a bleed to the brain.

Thames Valley Police is releasing CCTV images of two men who may have vital information about an attack in Slough.

It happened at about 4.30pm on March 13, 2022, when the victim was walking along Farnham Road, Slough.

A group of men chased another male who the victim didn't know.

5. Business owner 'giving up' as Heathrow meet and greet parking still causing chaos

A BUSINESS owner has shared his frustrations as cars from Heathrow jetsetters continue to be 'dumped constantly' along a road in Colnbrook.

The Observer has now heard from several residents and businesses voicing their concerns on the continuing situation.

Meet and greet parking companies from Heathrow Airport are reportedly taking holidaymakers’ cars and abandoning them on roads around the Langley and Colnbrook area, according to local residents and businesses.

One man, wishing to remain anonymous from a company along the Colnbrook Bypass, said he’s “going to give up soon” if nothing is done about it.
