MASKS are no longer compulsory to wear at Wexham Park Hospital and Heatherwood Hospital.

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust said on June 7 that patients and visitors are no longer routinely required to wear them, expect in specific circumstances.

From now on it’ll be based on personal choice whether an individual should choose to wear one.

However, face masks still need to be worn by patients who have respiratory symptoms, suspected or confirmed respiratory infections, people visiting patients who are diagnosed with respiratory infections, anyone visiting patients who are severely immunosuppressed and anyone who currently lives with someone who has tested positive for Covid.

Frimley NHS Foundation Trust said: “The safety of patients, visitors and staff is our first priority.

“All Trust staff will continue to remain vigilant around COVID=19 and will wear surgical face masks when delivering patient care.

“Anyone attending our sites should also continue to follow routine hygiene procedures, such as hand washing.”
