SUMMER is on its way and what better way to enjoy the sunshine that to spend your time at some fun events coming up next month.

There's lots going on in Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead in July and we've rounded up five events that are taking place for you to pop along to.

 

Cippenham Community Carnival

Place: Mercian Way Recreation Ground

Date/times: July 2 from midday until 4pm

A family-friendly carnival is set to take place on July 2.

There will be craft stalls, food stalls, farm animals, performances in an arena, a raffle and more.

The event will be raising money for two local charities, Mind and Slough Outreach.

 

Rock the Rec

Place: Pirate Park

Date/time: July 2 and July 3 from midday until 7pm

This will be Clewer and Dedworth's first music festival, which is organised by the community for the community.

The money raised from the event will be used to put back into local projects.

This years aim is to supply and fund Christmas lights for the whole of the Dedworth Road and support local charities and groups who are based in the area.

There will be a fun fair, vegan market, artisan craft stalls, unicorn rides and more.

Fi.Fest

Place: Stroud Farm, Maidenhead

Date: Saturday, July 9

Fi.Fest is a family-friendly music festival that runs every year on Stroud Farm.

Headlining the main stage this year will be English rock band Reef, along with pop rock stars, Dodgy and the Hoosiers.

Other acts include The Leylines, Queen tribute act ‘Mission to Mercury’, The Brit Pop Boys, Daft and Back to the ‘50s.

Running alongside the music stage is Fi.Fest’s Kidzone, which will be packed with entertainment, rides, free shows, a sand play park and more. And keep an eye out for Baxter the T-Rex.

Walk For Sai (Fundraiser)

Place: Langley

Date: Sunday, July 10

Sai Seva UK will be hosting its first Walk For Sai, a 7km family walk to bring the community together and enjoy some summer exercise.

Starting at 9am, walkers will be registered before embarking on their 7km walk around the Langley area.

In celebration of this years Guru Pournima Festival, Sai Seva UK are asking the local community to join them for this family event, open to all and will be followed by Prayers and Food.

A spokesperson for Sai Seva UK said: "All fitness levels are welcome and we will assign you groups to walk within, as well as having multiple refreshment checkpoints along the route."

 

Maidenhead Festival

Place: Kidwell’s Park

Dates: July 23 and 24

The festival will include live music, street food stalls, a market, funfair, miniature train, inflatables, circus skills workshops and shows.

Entry is free for all the family.
