We all love a good restaurant to enjoy some tasty food and step away from cooking now and again.

Since reopening their doors we've been steadily showing our support by eating out and have saved ourselves some washing up in the process.

We asked our Facebook readers, what restaurants from the past they miss the most.

Dozens of food lovers responded, each of them eager to share their memories.

Wimpy

Anyone who misses Wimpy would have remembered their iconic bender in a bun item.

The round sausage in a bun was a staple at Wimpy and many people in Slough miss it.

Lorna Seaman said: "Wimpy, mind you if they came back still wouldn't go to high street." 

Charlotte Curbison also vouched for Wimpy.

Touch of Class

Half a dozen readers said they wish Touch of Class would come back to Slough.

Karen West said: "Touch of class, best burgers and milkshakes."

Nicoley Danny added: "How I would love to eat there now."

Caroline Press said: "I remember Touch of Class (aka Classy Touch) used to do a great Brown Derby which was a donut with chocolate ice cream."

Tangs

 

Slough Observer:

Slough is no stranger to an oriental buffet and Tang's seemed to be quite popular before it closed.

David Hodges said: "I think Tangs was the best restaurant that was ever in Slough the price was amazing and the food was always good to good for Slough."

Golden egg

A number of readers commented that they miss the Golden Egg too.

Burger King 

Who doesn't love a good burger from time to time?

Burger King is also another franchise sorely missed by Slough readers.
