Enhanced stop and search powers granted temporarily to police in Slough have now ceased, Thames Valley Police announced.
The force was granted a Section 60 order on Thursday and Friday, allowing them to stop and search people without reasonable grounds following a number of violent incidents.
The order came after a man was repeatedly stabbed in Court Farm Close on Wednesday.
Chief Inspector Ash Smith, Deputy LPA Commander for Slough, said: “I would like to thank the public for their understanding while we have had this order in place as it helps us to keep them safe.

“Carrying knives is not tolerated by Thames Valley Police and although this order has ended, officers can still apply their usual stop and search powers if someone is suspected of carrying a weapon.
“If anyone has information about someone they think could be carrying a weapon then I would encourage them to report it to us by calling 101 or online.
“Alternatively, you can also report anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or through their website.”
