THE MYSTERY to what is taking over a closed supermarket in Slough has been solved.

SEGRO, which creates and manages sustainable industrial spaces, has announced which company will be moving into the former Sainsbury’s site on Farnham Road.

It has revealed that self-storage company Big Yellow is set to take over the unit.

Earlier this week, Aldi confirm it will be moving into the current Pets at Home next spring.

And the pet shop will be pitching up next door in the former Staples store.

But this left our readers wondering what was going to happen to Sainsbury’s and it has now been confirmed by SEGRO.

A spokesperson for SEGRO said: “We have been in discussions with Aldi, Pets at Home and Big Yellow, and we are delighted that all three businesses have committed to opening new stores on Farnham Road, Slough Trading Estate.

“This investment will bring two vacant sites back into use with new, modern amenities for the local community.”
