Police have issued advice after intense heat is known to increase the risk of wildfires in rural areas.
Due to the vast amount of forestry throughout Berkshire, incidents of unintentional fires are a lot more frequent as the temperatures rise.
The MET office amber weather warning has put police and fire services on high alert as temperatures get to as high as 36 degrees.

PC Dollery, from the Rural Crime Taskforce said: “Fire destroys crops & buildings, machinery & vehicles, kills & destroys wildlife & their habitat & ruins livelihoods for individuals & businesses!
“Please consider the following advice during this hot weather: Do not light bonfires. Dispose of safely Be careful where you place BBQ’s, especially disposable ones!
“Hang your washing on an airer or line, avoid using a tumble dryer! (List is not exhaustive) If fire is seen or suspected, call 999 immediately.”
