RUMOURS have surfaced that a young royal and future king could be studying at a school in Winkfield Row, near Ascot in September.

Prince George is celebrating his ninth birthday today with an official photograph released to mark the occasion, taken by his mother the Duchess of Cambridge.

Her son is shown beaming earlier this month while wearing a polo-style top with a sandy shoreline and water behind him.

The young royal is celebrating his birthday today and according to reports will start at Lambrook School in Winkfield Row near Ascot later this year.

Lambrook is a leading co-educational Prep School for 615 boys and girls aged 3-13, set with 52 acres of grounds and playing fields.

Fees at the prep school per term costs £6,448 for students in Years 3 and 4 and £6,999 for students in Years 5-8.

This isn't the first time the school has seen royalty walk through its grounds.

Queen Victoria used to travel from Windsor Castle to Lambrook to watch her grandsons in plays and cricket matches.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are rumoured to be planning a move to Berkshire to be close to their son’s new school and the Queen.

George has had an eventful few months. appearing with his siblings Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis during the extended June bank holiday weekend that celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
