Last week, a man was spared jail after he smeared his own poo over his partner’s door in Reading.

He was sentenced to 18 weeks in prison, suspended for 18 months, for criminal damage.

But he’s not the only one from Berkshire to appear in the courts sentenced for this offence.

Here are some others.

Kaine Bentley Simmonds

Kaine Bentley-Simmonds, of Pryor Close, Tilehurst caused £20,000 of damage to his former partner’s flat in a fit of rage at start of 2022.

In February 2022, his ex received a £2,000 electricity bill for her flat, which she had moved out of in November 2021.

She went there with her parents and found her abode had been ‘ransacked’, with extensive damage caused to the flat’s bathroom and kitchen.

An agent for the home said these rooms were ‘beyond repair’ and the total cost of the damage - which included the woman’s personal items - added up to £20,000.

Prosecutor James Lachkovic described the criminal damage as a ‘revenge attack’ and His Honour Judge Burgess said the property had been ‘completely trashed.’

Bentley Simmonds was handed a four-prison sentence for assault, three counts of criminal damage, theft, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, burglary, and stalking at Reading Crown Court on July 8.

Louis Kimso

A Slough man has been ordered to pay thousands of pounds after destroying multiple items at a Bournemouth hotel.

Louis Kimso, of Whiteford Road, damaged goods at the Russell Court Hotel on February 3, 2022.

The cost of the damage was said to come under £5,000, according to a court file.

Appearing at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Friday, July 8, the 36-year-old admitted one count of criminal damage.

He was given a two-year conditional discharge.

However, the Slough man was told to pay back £4,300 in compensation.

Azim Hussain

A man has been told to pay up after damaging a police car at McDonald’s.

Azim Hussain, of Seven Hills Farm, Iver, damaged a Thames Valley Police car at the Windsor Road McDonald’s in Slough on June 24, 2022.

After pleading guilty to criminal damage at Slough Magistrates’ Court on June 27, 2022, the 33-year-old was told not to go back to the East Berkshire ‘Maccies’ store.

However, the 33-year-old was caught at the diner on June 29, 2022, meaning he had breached his bail conditions.

He admitted to breaching his bail conditions at Reading Magistrates’ Court on June 30, 2022.

He was sentenced at Reading Magistrates’ Court on July 27, where he was given a community order which requires him to carry out 160 hours of unpaid work.

Hussain was told to pay £100 in compensation for the damaged police car.

Tenzin Tsazen

A Slough man who beat up two women at a Bournemouth nightclub and caused £500 worth of damage to a window has been spared jail.

Tenzin Tsazen, of Greystoke Road, admitted to causing £500 worth of criminal damage to a window at Aruba on Bournemouth seafront on June 3, 2022.

The 29-year-old also pleaded guilty to two counts of assault by beating after he attacked two women on the same day.

Tsazen made his pleas at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, June 22.

Appearing at the same court for sentencing on July 29, the Slough man was discharged conditionally for 18 months.

He was made to pay £500 in compensation to the nightclub and £300 in compensation to each of the assaulted women.
