An identical planning application was approved in 2008 and then later in 2010. The plans hit a brick wall where another approval was given in 2017.

Developers have three years to start building their schemes. If they don’t within that timeframe, the permission will lapse, and another application will have to be submitted and re-approved.

Two semi-detached homes that hold three-bedrooms each could be the latest edition to the village near Heathrow Airport.

If approved by Slough planning officers, it will involve demolishing the two outbuildings next to the empty guest house, known as The Cedar.

The proposal will use the existing car park used by The Cedar house. Each house will have pedestrian access from both the High Street and nearby Rayners Close.

Each homeowner will also have a private garden to the rear and the front.
