An Eton school was delighted to be visited by Pudsey the bear ahead of Children in Need.
Eton End School in Datchet was one of few schools in Berkshire to have the honour of welcoming Pudsey Bear.
On Friday, November 11, Pudsey attended the school as part of BBC’s Children In Need SPOTacular 2022 appeal.
Pupils and staff were thrilled to see Pudsey, an icon of charitable fundraising, at their school to meet and greet them at the gate upon their arrival.
Staff and pupils were armed with collection buckets whilst Pudsey was keen to share high five, handshakes, hugs and the occasional selfie with pupils and parents.
BBC Children in Need hopes to highlight the urgent need for support during the cost of living crisis, believing every child and young person deserves the opportunity to thrive and be the best they can be.
Aimed at creating lasting, positive change across the UK for the children and young people who need it most, BBC Children in Need aim to inspire the nation in support of their work.
Eton End has always supported Children In Need charity fundraising.
Headmistress Mrs Rachael Cox said: “I have been thoroughly delighted to welcome a very special visitor, Pudsey, to our school today to meet all our incredible pupils; I’m overwhelmed with the response we’ve had to fundraising through selling merchandise and donations."
