Two ‘ugly sisters’ brought a touch of pantomime chaos to a charity shop on Sunday.

The stage duo from Colnbrook Amateur Theatre’s (CAST) forthcoming panto Cinderella paid a visit to Thames Hospice’s charity shop at Harrow Market in Langley.

As the story goes, the gruesome twosome always lose out to Cinderella when their not-so-dainty feet fail to fit the glass slipper.

So the shop’s manager May Drake and her assistant Johnathan Kirby decided to find some shoes that would fit the ‘sisters’, played by CAST members Steve Parkyn and Ian Ward.

“It was hilarious” said May.

“The ‘sisters’ really took to Johnathan when they realised they weren’t going to get the Prince.

“He is still hiding in the stockroom.”

Cinderella runs at Colnbrook Village Hall in Vicarage Way from Thursday, January 12, to Saturday, January 15.

Box office 07894 579177 or boxoffice@cast-online.org.uk.

Tickets cost £12 for adults and £8 for children, with concession being charged at £10.

Langley’ sisters Thames Hospice shop opens Monday to Saturday 9am to 5pm, Sunday 10am to 4pm.

The hospice offers support to people with life-threatening illness at home and at its new Maidenhead premises.
